The Torocco Railway is the former main line of Japan Railways Sanin Line. It takes about 25 minutes from Sagano Station to Arashiyama Station and passes through Hozukyo Station on its way to Kameoka Station. You can enjoy the bamboo grove of Sagano and the beautiful Hozukyo valley as a round trip combining the Torocco and a boat along the Hozugawa River is well worth the time and effort. |
